I FINISHED MY YULETIDE FIC!! IT IS 8300 WORDS!! I AM ECSTATIC, OVER-CAFFEINATED, AND IN NEED OF SLEEP, BUT I AM DONE!!

And peeking in the "gifts" section of my profile, I see that I already have a gift waiting. Someone described it as being like looking at wrapped presents under the tree - I think that's a fairly apt description. I can't wait, can't wait, can't wait to see what the Yule Goat left for me! :D

Am now going to beta a fic, then off to sleep.

That is a crapton of words! Congratulations! My own is just 2600 and unlikely to expand or contract any further than that as I make my final revisions.

I have two gifts waiting already! I'm so excited!

I couldn't believe how many words ended up coming out for that story - it totally wrote itself. I've never really had that happen before, so it was an amazing experience. It probably helped that I stalked my giftee's tumblr for days and days on end before I started writing, and then all her comments on the fandom sort of helped to push the story into shape. :D

Can you secretly link me to what you wrote? I want to read it. :D
